Dr. Amanda Goodheart Parks
Historian. Educator. Speaker.
Dr. Amanda Goodheart Parks is a historian, educator, and public speaker with over fifteen years of experience bringing the past to life for people of all ages.
Amanda earned her Ph.D. in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and she serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Salve Regina University History Department. She specializes in the history of women and gender, maritime history, public history, and U.S. history. Additionally, she has research and/or teaching experience in environmental history, European history, and aerospace history.
A licensed educator with teaching experience inside the classroom and at museums and historic sites across New England, Amanda creates opportunities for people of all ages to engage with history through teaching, lectures, and public programs.
Amanda was featured in the History Channel miniseries, “The Titans That Built America,” and her work in museum education was awarded by the American Alliance of Museums in 2021. She is a graduate of the Museum Leadership Institute NextGen program, and a proud member of the New England Museum Association Board of Directors.
Amanda lives in Western Massachusetts with her husband Mike.
